On September 17, Anthony Edwards was out for the night with his friends. They arrived at the Playhouse Gentlemen’s Club just after midnight. At 4:34 a.m., Edwards was walking out of the club and into the parking lot.
Several shots were fired from a white 4-door BMW which had just pulled out of the same parking lot. The victim was struck six times. He was transported to a local area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. No one else was injured.
Minutes before the shooting, security video shows two men getting into the white BMW and pulling out of the Playhouse parking lot. Cameras captured the same men as they arrived at the club at approximately 2:30 a.m.
One of the men is heavyset with a medium complexion. His head is shaved and he had a short dark beard. He wore a T-shirt, jeans, and several gold necklaces. The second man, who got into the BMW’s driver’s seat, has a dark complexion, a muscular build, short dark hair, and a short beard. He wore a T-shirt with a camouflage print.
