An unidentified body was discovered during a search for Eric Danzell Humbert in Dunellon, FL on Saturday, August 20, 2016, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Field Force Unit were searching in Dunnellon for any evidence in connection with the disappearance of current MCSO Missing Endangered subject, Eric Danzell Humbert.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., Field Force members discovered the body of a deceased person in a wooded area north of the intersection of SW 162nd Terrace and SW 36th Street. Major Crimes detectives and Evidence technicians worked through the weekend in order to fully recover the remains.
The Medical Examiner took possession of the body and will be working to make positive identification of this individual. The gender of the individual has not been determined.
Detectives cannot confirm whether or not these are the remains of Eric Humbert at this point in time. Detectives will still continue their investigation into Humbert’s disappearance.
